Hi, I'm Wendy.
I'm really glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) with a Master's degree in School Counseling, and I've spent much of my career working with children, families, and individuals who are trying to navigate life's challenges.
I became a counselor because I genuinely enjoy helping people. I believe that sometimes having a safe person to talk to can make a bigger difference than we realize. I don't believe therapy should feel like sitting across from someone who has all the answers. You're the expert on your own life. My role is to listen, ask questions, help you make sense of what's happening, and give you tools that can actually be useful in your everyday life.
What you can expect from me
I'll meet you where you are. Some days therapy might mean working through something that's been weighing on you for years. Other days it might mean talking about something that happened this week that you just can't stop thinking about. We'll take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I want my office to be a place where you can laugh, cry, be frustrated, ask questions, or simply sit and think. You don't have to have the right words. You don't have to know exactly what to say. You can just show up as you are.
Outside of the therapy room
I'm a wife, a mom, a grandmother, and someone who understands that real life can be messy.
I don't expect anyone to have everything together, and I certainly don't pretend that I do. I bring that same understanding into my work with clients. My goal isn't perfection. It's helping you find a way forward that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
I'm honored when someone trusts me enough to share their story, and I don't take that trust lightly.
